All members of the Ondo State Football Association on Monday mourned the tragic death of the Chairman of Akoko South East Local Football Council, late Akin Olowokere.
Olowokere, until his death was the Head Coach of Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan.
According to reports, he died during the routine training of the club early morning of Monday, Aug. 11, 2025.
The Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi, said the football world had lost a bright mind whose knowledge of football was second to none.
Dele-Ajayi expressed condolences to Shooting Stars, families and close allies of late Olowokere.
Describing the death as a painful loss, Dele-Ajayi urged all to take solace in the good memories of the late tactician while he was on earth.
He prayed that God would give that family and all his associates the fortitude to bear the Irreparable loss.
