Big Brother Naija organisers have confirmed the death of one of their crew members, Ayotunde Elegbede.
The sad announcement was made by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during Sunday’s live eviction show.
Ebuka stated that the organisers had been informed of Elegbede’s passing by his family, although no cause of death was disclosed.
The news came on the same night as the first two evictions of Season 10.
Danboskid was the first housemate to be sent home, receiving a warm farewell from his close ally, Zita, and a “three gbosa” cheer from fellow contestants.
In same vein, Ibifubara was the second to be evicted from tqhe show.
According to the voting chart displayed after the show, housemate Denari narrowly escaped eviction.
The loss of Elegbede has cast a sombre mood over the season, as fans and colleagues mourn his passing.
