Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will today, Monday, host indigenes of the state who were part of the victorious Super Falcons squad that clinched Nigeria’s 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, tagged ‘Mission X’.
In a statement released by the Ondo State Football Association (FA) media team, the Governor is set to receive Super Falcons defender, Tosin Demehin, alongside two team officials of Ondo State origin, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s historic win.
The reception is scheduled to hold at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office by 4 p.m.
It will be recalled that The Stewardship News had earlier called on the state government to follow the footsteps of other states by publicly acknowledging and celebrating its own football heroes.
