Another key recommendation is the use of headlights, even during daytime. Poor visibility caused by rain or fog can make it difficult for drivers to see other road users. Turning on headlights helps increase visibility and ensures that other drivers can see oncoming vehicles.
Experts also advise maintaining a greater distance between vehicles, avoiding sudden movements, checking tire pressure regularly, and ensuring wiper blades are in good condition. Potholes hidden beneath puddles pose additional dangers, so cautious navigation is essential.
In addition to these precautions, motorists should avoid drinking alcohol before driving, as it impairs judgment and reaction time, and must refrain from making or answering phone calls while on the road, as distractions significantly increase the risk of collisions in already hazardous wet weather conditions.
