The campaign train of Johnson Ogunbolude, a prominent candidate for the upcoming January 18th local government elections, was flagged off in a grand style across multiple wards in Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State.
The event, which held on January 15, 2025, saw massive participation from notable leaders, including Hon. Saka Yusuf, the immediate past Commissioner for Sports; Hon. Bamidele Ologunloluwa, Chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency; as well as political appointees, market women, artisans, and enthusiastic youths.
Addressing supporters at venues such as Igusin in Igbatoro (Ward 4), St. Mary’s Primary School in Ayede Ogbese (Ward 2), Ilu Abo (Ward 6), and FUTA Junction in Oba Ile (Ward 9), Hon. Johnson Ogunbolude emphasized his commitment to bringing comprehensive development to the council area.
“If given the mandate, I promise to ensure all-round development in our communities. Governor Aiyedatiwa has entrusted me with the confidence to drive positive change, and I will not disappoint,” Ogunbolude declared to a cheering crowd at Ilu Abo.
He further appealed for support and votes, pledging to prioritize critical areas such as infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic growth in the region.
Day two of the campaign is set to continue in other wards, with stops at Igoba High School in Igoba/Isinigbo (Ward 5), St. James’s Primary School in Itaogbolu (Wards 1, 7, 10, and 11), and the Iju Roundabout in Iju (Wards 3, 8, and 12).
With the overwhelming support witnessed so far, Ogunbolude’s campaign is gaining momentum as he aims to secure the mandate to lead Akure North Local Government into a new era of development.
