The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG).
The union extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late politician, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Ondo State Government, and the people of the state.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, and State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack, the NUJ described the loss as irreparable, sudden, and painful.
The union also sympathized with the people of Akure, the late SSG’s wife, and children over the untimely departure of their beloved son and father.
Hon. Oluwatuyi was lauded as a gentle and reliable politician, known for his peaceful demeanor, philanthropy, and cordial relationship with the media.
The NUJ noted that his political acumen and humanitarian efforts had left an indelible mark on Akure and beyond.
“His death has created a vacuum that cannot be easily filled. He will be remembered for his political finesse, strategic calculations, and compassionate gestures,” the statement read.
The NUJ called on the bereaved family and the late SSG’s constituents to find solace in the knowledge that only God, the giver of life, determines the appointed time for all.
The union prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and for divine comfort for all those affected by the loss.
Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi’s contributions to governance, philanthropy, and peace will remain a cherished legacy in Ondo State.
