In his New Year message, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructural development and the welfare of the state’s residents.
Addressing the people on January 1, 2025, the Governor outlined his vision for the year, emphasizing the execution of the “Budget of Recovery” and a renewed focus on ongoing projects across the 18 local government areas.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the citizens for witnessing the end of 2024 and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities that 2025 promises.
He thanked key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, labour leaders, security agencies, and the media, for their unwavering support, while commending the state’s workforce for their dedication and sacrifice.
“2025 offers a new vista of development for Ondo State,” the Governor stated. “As we celebrate the opportunities before us in the New Year, I wish to also use this occasion to affirm my commitment to the people of Ondo State. It is my prayer that the first dawn of the New Year will bring with it unsparing blessings for us as individuals, communities, and a State.”
Reflecting on the progress made in 2024, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted achievements in infrastructure, job creation, security, and workers’ welfare.
He expressed gratitude for the peaceful conduct of stakeholders during the electioneering period and the overwhelming mandate given to his administration to lead beyond 2025.
The Governor called on residents to support the government in actualizing the components of the ‘OUR EASE’ mandate, which he described as crucial to the state’s growth and prosperity.
Governor Aiyedatiwa concluded by wishing the people of Ondo State a peaceful and prosperous New Year, urging them to continue their prayers for the peace and prosperity of the state.
