the spirit of Christmas, the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has called on the people of the state to embrace modesty and reflect the virtues of love, kindness, and generosity during the festive season.
Delivering his message on Christmas Eve, Governor Aiyedatiwa extended his heartfelt congratulations to the residents for witnessing another Christmas celebration, emphasizing the importance of embodying the principles of Christ in their celebrations.
“Christmas is not just a day; it is a frame of mind. A good conscience is a continual Christmas,” Governor Aiyedatiwa remarked. “Our celebration must embody the virtues and principles of Christ, for Jesus Christ is the reason for this season.”
He further described the Christmas season as a “testament to divine goodwill towards mankind,” underscoring the themes of redemption, worship, and praise to God.
Reflecting on the past year, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to God for the blessings bestowed on Ondo State, allowing it to overcome significant challenges.
He also appreciated the support of the people for his administration, which marks its first anniversary this week.
