President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday hosted Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The visit followed the conclusion of the Ondo State governorship election, which saw the duo clinch a resounding victory.
During the visit, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his steadfast leadership and support throughout the electoral process.
“Mr. President, we are deeply thankful for your exemplary guidance and fatherly support, which ensured a peaceful, free, and fair election in Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa said.
In a symbolic gesture, the Governor and his Deputy presented their Certificates of Return to the President.
Accompanying them were Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and APC National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
President Tinubu congratulated Aiyedatiwa and Adelami on their success and urged them to deliver on their campaign promises.
“Your overwhelming victory is a reflection of the trust and confidence the people of Ondo State have in you. It is now your duty to justify that trust through your unwavering commitment to the development of your state,” Tinubu remarked.
