The alumni of St. Vincent de-Paul College, Okitipupa, particularly the 2000 graduating set, have expressed their condolences to the family of Chief Anthony Erogunaye, the college’s founder, following his recent passing.
Chief Erogunaye, a respected figure in Ondo State’s Okitipupa community, made significant contributions to both education and local industry.
In addition to establishing the iconic St. Vincent de-Paul College in Okitipupa Local Government Area, Chief Erogunaye served as the former General Manager of the Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC and was an active leader in various public and private institutions.
Mr. Tola Anifowose, Secretary of the 2000 set, reflected on Chief Erogunaye’s legacy.
“We have lost a rare gem who contributed to the development of his community and Nigeria at large,” he stated.
“On behalf of the 2000 set of old students, we commiserate with the entire family and the people of the Idepe community in Okitipupa for this big loss. We pray God gives them the fortitude to bear the loss.”
Family sources indicate that plans for the burial arrangements will begin soon.
Chief Anthony Erogunaye, a devoted Christian, leaves behind his wife, children and great grandchildren.
