In a decisive move to elevate standards and accountability within the Ministry of Interior, top officials, including the Board Secretary Ahmed Ja’afaru, Controller Generals Haliru Nababa (@CorrectionsNg), Kemi Nanna Nandap (@nigimmigration), Engr. Abdulganiyu Olola Jaji (@Fedfireng), Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi (@official_NSCDC), and Director General Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote (@nimc_ng), signed a performance contract to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for agencies, commissions, and departments under the Ministry.
After a comprehensive two-day assessment, a new phase begins, guided by a collective commitment to accountability, measurable goals, and quarterly performance appraisals.
Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, played a pivotal role in facilitating this first-ever Performance Contracting Retreat.
“The vision is clear,” stated an official close to the event, “There is no excuse for failure, and while reward is the fruit of hard work; mediocrity and laissez-faire attitude in service will be met with appropriate sanctions.”
The Ministry aims to ensure all personnel are aligned with its Renewed Hope contract with President Tinubu, emphasizing a culture of success, discipline, and collective responsibility.
