Ondo State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured the people of Irele that his administration will not interfere in the selection of a new monarch for their community.
During a campaign stop at the Irele Multipurpose Hall and Civic Centre on Friday, Governor Aiyedatiwa addressed community leaders, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance.
“Whoever the kingmakers choose is the one who will be king. I implore the kingmakers to follow due process so that there will be a smooth selection process,” said Governor Aiyedatiwa, emphasizing that the community will have the sole authority in choosing their monarch.
The Governor also shared his administration’s focus on security as a foundation for effective governance and announced that construction had commenced on the 28-kilometer Iyansan-Ajagba-Akotogbo-Iju Osun road project, a significant infrastructure commitment to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the area.
