Traditional rulers in Ondo State have endorsed Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the upcoming November 16 governorship election, citing his achievements and commitment to development.
The Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Adefarakanmi Agbede, described the Governor as the best candidate for the state due to his leadership qualities and respect for traditional institutions.
Speaking during Aiyedatiwa’s consultation visit to his palace in Igbara-Oke, Oba Agbede praised the Governor’s performance in his ten months in office, noting that his achievements indicate a promising future if elected for a full term.
“The people of Igbara-Oke and Ifedore are solidly behind Governor Aiyedatiwa and will vote for him en-masse on November 16.
He has listening ears and has displayed the quality of ‘Omoluabi’ by treating the traditional institution with utmost respect,” Oba Agbede said.
At the palace of Olujare of Ijare, High Chief Wemimo Olaniyan, speaking on behalf of the community’s traditional rulers, commended the Governor’s achievements but urged him to prioritize the completion of the Oke-Odu to Ijare road and other pressing community needs.
In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the people that their requests would be addressed, emphasizing his commitment to delivering people-centered projects.
“Your requests, including the completion of the Oke-Odu to Ijare road, are well noted, and I assure you that we will address them promptly. We remain committed to improving infrastructure and delivering projects that will uplift every corner of this state,” the Governor said.
Earlier, Aiyedatiwa performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ijare Central Market, aimed at boosting local trade and enhancing the community’s economic landscape.
The Governor also visited the palace of the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, who lauded the administration’s developmental strides and the appointment of Ifedore indigenes to key government positions.
Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to address the community’s needs, pledging to “double our efforts to ensure that all your requests are addressed promptly.”
As the campaign continues, Governor Aiyedatiwa remains focused on delivering infrastructure and services that reflect the priorities of the people.
