Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has assured the residents and monarchs of Ose Local Government that his administration is committed to completing all abandoned road projects and enhancing security across the area.
During his campaign tour on Saturday, the Governor emphasized his dedication to fulfilling his promises and delivering tangible results for the people of Ondo State.
Speaking at the palace of the Alani of Idoani, Oba Major General Olufemi Olutoye (Rtd), Governor Aiyedatiwa declared: “Unlike other candidates making promises they won’t fulfill, I don’t believe in empty words. I will put in the action and deliver good governance.”
He further explained that his administration, in collaboration with the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, has identified the urgent needs of the region and is already working toward implementing the necessary improvements.
Highlighting the importance of security, Governor Aiyedatiwa pledged to address the safety challenges facing Ose Local Government, especially in its border communities.
“We are strengthening our security architecture, including the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies, to ensure that our communities remain safe and conducive for business and farming,” he stated.
In response, the Alani of Idoani, Oba Olutoye, and the Onidogun of Idogun, Oba Moses Ekundayo Bakare, called on the state government to expedite the completion of road projects and improve healthcare facilities.
They noted that inadequate infrastructure has hindered economic activities and access to essential services, urging Governor Aiyedatiwa to ensure greater political inclusion for the people of Ose.
The Onimoru of Imoru, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, also expressed his concerns about the security situation, particularly for rural farmers and traders.
“Farming is a major part of our livelihood, but insecurity threatens both farmers and traders who rely on these activities to survive.
We need the government to strengthen security in our communities to protect our people and ensure their peace of mind,” Oba Obamuagun said.
Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the monarchs and residents of his commitment to tackling the challenges, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on development and the well-being of all communities.
He thanked the people of Ose Local Government for their support and expressed optimism about building a safer and more prosperous future for the region and the entire state.
“Together, we will build a safer, more prosperous future for Ose and all of Ondo State,” the Governor concluded.
