Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries International, recently shared an emotional account of his early years of marriage with his wife, Gloria.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, he revealed that they obtained their court marriage certificate only six years ago due to financial constraints.
Bamiloye recalled their experience at the registry, saying, “I took my wife to the Registry to ask about Court Marriage and they told us the money to pay for the event was a very small amount… But we could not get the money.”
Despite the modest fee of just N170.00 (One Hundred and Seventy NAIRA), they left without the necessary paperwork.
He explained, “So we went to the wedding without the registry. We never had a Government Marriage Certificate until about six years ago when an embassy demanded for it.”
He reflected on their wedding day, noting that all the money they received went to settle debts. Yet, he expressed deep gratitude for his wife’s understanding, stating,
“I thank God I didn’t marry a lady who would put me on unwarranted pressures and unnecessary constraints. Glory be to God for GLORIA!”
In 2022, Bamiloye also acknowledged Gloria’s crucial support in building their drama ministry, underscoring the strength of their partnership throughout the years.
Their journey is a powerful reminder of love, resilience, and the grace that sustains relationships.
