Sunshine Stars FC of Akure are closer to the relegation zone in the Nigeria Premier Football League after a 1-1 draw at home against reigning champions Enyimba on Sunday.
A 50th minute goal from Promise Awosanmi had put Sunshine Stars on course for their first win in five matches, but they were pegged back by an equaliser from Chidiebere Nnachi.
The result leaves them 16th in the table with 36 points from 30 matches, just a place above the relegation zone by goal difference.
The Kennedy Boboye side are now winless in five matches.
That unwanted record would have been avoided Enyimba but they missed numerous chances just as Enyimba goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo was in great shape to deny them on several occasions.
Sunshine Stars fight against the drop continues on match-day 32 when they face 3SC in Ibadan.
