The crescent moon signaling the commencement of Ramadan 1445 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Muslims around the world will embark on a month of reflection, fasting (siyām), nightly prayers (qiyām), and acts of worship starting from tomorrow March 11, 2024.
In an announcement on its X Page, @HaramainInfo shared the much anticipated information, “The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Ramadhān 1445 will begin tonight.
May Allāh ﷻ accept our siyām, qiyām & acts of worship and may He grant us the ability to utilise the precious moments of this Blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him. Aameen.”
The Nigeria Muslim Community however respectfully awaits the official announcement by the Sultan of Sokoto before commencing the Ramadan process.
