Afrobeats Artist, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido will be returning home empty as his high hopes of clinching his first Grammy award has been dashed.
Davido who got nominated in three categories of the 66th Grammy awards couldn’t secure any to fulfil his age long aspiration of being a Grammy award holder.
He lost the Best African Music Performance Award to Tyla’s Water, Best Global Music Performance to ‘Pashto’ by Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain, Edger Meyer and Best Glob Album to Shakti’s ‘The Moment.’
The Social media fan club of the afrobeat star named 30BG have since the announcement registered their displeasure and heartbreak following this development.
