Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Bamidele Ologunloluwa has commended Sunshine Queens coaching crew for a job well done.
The Commissioner stated this in reaction to the invitation of two players of the club to the Nigeria Under 17 camp in Abuja.
Nigeria Football Federation had invited the duo of Sunshine Queens players, Suliat Ajibade and Elizabeth Boniface to join 33 others in Flamingos camp for the Under -17 World Cup provisional list for the first time in many years.
He admonished the invited players to put in their best and ensure they make the final list, saying they should grab the opportunity that comes their ways by being focused and determined to wear the national colour.
He said the invitation of the duo was a testimony of the hard work of the team’s coaching crew, charging the players to be more committed and ensure they continue to be good ambassadors of the, club and their family by putting in more spirited efforts to sustain the team in the Nigeria Elite league.
Ologunloluwa charged the coaching crew to make use of the mid- season’s transfer window to fortify the team with needed players that can help the club to get out of the red zone.
According to him, “I’m expecting more of our players in other national teams, which includes; Super Falcons, Falconet and others.
“It’s high time the team reclaimed its right place among the comity of Women clubs in Nigeria.
“As a management, we will continue to support you in order for you to sustain your status in the Nigeria Women Football League.”
