The Bamidele Omosehin Foundation (BOF) Empowerment Initiative has again put smiles on faces of women and widows across Okitipupa and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo state.
An annual programme organized by BOF under the Chairmanship of High Chief Bamidele Omosehin has made a significant impact, empowering over 500 women and widows with cash support.
This initiative, spanning across Okitipupa and Irele local government areas, took place on Friday 5th January 2024 at Lisa villa, Iju-odo in Okitipupa local government, drawing commendation, accolades and praises from beneficiaries and community stakeholders alike.
In his address, the Chairman of the Foundation, Chief Bamidele Omosehin, Lisa Of Osooro Kingdom described the event as one borne out of concern for humanity and especially this time the country is facing crucial economic difficulties leaving many Nigerians vulnerable and helpless.
” This effort stands as a testament to the foundation’s commitment to uplifting and supporting women in these communities, fostering empowerment, positive change and improved lifestyles amongst our people.”
Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mrs Oreoluwa Egbedofo from Ode Ajagba in Irele local government council area of Ondo state couldn’t contain her joy as she described the initiative as a timely intervention needed for her business even as the year 2024 commences.
Mr Tunde Saidu, Real Estate Consultant, Engr. Emmanuel Uchenna Okafor, HRM Oba Festus Olumoyegun, Oniju of Iju-Odo, and Chief Benson Olowogboye, the Balogun of Iju-odo land all epitomize the philanthropic gesture of Chief Bamidele as a milestone that has come stay for human kind and overall development of the area.
“This empowerment will go a long way towards cushioning the pains of the targeted beneficiaries, particularly the widows in no small measure in the area, said Chief Olowogboye”.
Prayers and good wishes were showered on the organiser of the empowerment as the people look forward to more interventions from other well to do indigenes of the towns in the coming months.
