Report says some officials of Doma United with the support of some football politicians had an agreement with Abia warriors so the Northern team can pick the last super six ticket in group B
Meanwhile, a top heirachy in Abia Warriors team who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity said Doma United tried to make demands but some officials of the team turned down the offer .
He further explained that Doma United officials and some of their hired agents were talking to Abia Warriors players on a possible match fixing

Efforts to speak with Doma United officials weren’t successful as top management staff of the team disconnects their mobile phones the moment they hear the discussion is about a possible match fixing between Abia Warriors and Doma United.
A football pundit garba Sheu who reacted to the alleged match fixing move between Abia Warriors and Doma United urged the NPFL officials to beam their light on the match in Umuahia
” It’s possible for the match to be fixed really , it has happened before , but I wouldn’t want things like this to de t the food work of the IMC , what they need do now is send competent and unbiased match assessor and commissioners to the venue and ensure referees appointed are those that won’t compromise “
Doma United are on 26 points with + 2 goal difference while Sunshine stars and Abia warriors are tied on 24 points with +3 and -4 goal difference respectively.
The matches will be played simultanously on Sunday 21st of may 2023
