The Federal Government has on Wednesday given approval and an operating License for the Ondo Deep Seaport after a Federal Executive Council Meeting Presided Over by President Mohammadu Buhari.
The Minister of Federal Ministry of Transportation, Engr Muazu Jaju Sambi presented the memo at the State House in Abuja.
Before now, there have been several efforts by the Ondo state Government since 2004 to establish a deep Seaport in Olokola but the efforts didn’t see the light of the day.
The Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu intensified more efforts since his assumption of office in 2027 and submitted proposal for the establishment of the Port to the Federal Government with series of diligence from the state and Federal Government.
