AYO ADEMUSIRE FOUNDATION, a Non Governmental Organization which spread its tentacles both in Nigeria and oversees, today visited the Nigeria Correctional Service, Medium Security Custodian Service, Okitipupa to donate some basic needs to the inmates.
The President, Founder and CEO of the Foundation, Prince Ayodeji Ademusire who was represented by the Foundation’s General Secretary and doubles as the General Coordinator, Ondo South Chapter of the Foundation, Mr Steve Ọlọmọjuni appreciated the authorities of the Correctional facility for their great job at ensuring the inmates are rehabilitated and transformed to be law abiding citizens at the expiration of their terms in the facility.
Prince Ademusire charge the inmates to know that where they are presently is a reformatory society and should not see what they are going through as punishment, rather as a reformatory process aimed at providing the opportunity to reflect on, and take responsibility for their actions, but most importantly prepare them for being a law-abiding life after when they are released.
“To you inmates, We want you to know that this is a reformatory society, And don’t see what you are going through as punishment but as a reformatory process aimed at providing you the opportunity to reflect on, and take responsibility for your actions, but most importantly prepare you for a law-abiding life when you are released.
For us at AAF, we believe that you will leave here as a law-abiding person who in return will become an asset and pride to the society, we believe that you still have a goal to achieve, a destiny to fulfil, we still trust in your ability to make a quality decision after been released from here which is why we are here with these items to show our care, love and affections for you all. In a bid to ease the hardship being faced in the area of daily needs and to support the government in its effort to improve the welfare of the inmates and guarantee your reformatory processes and finally augment the service provided in this place”.
Earlier in his address the officer in charge of the facility, O.T. Lijoka, appreciate AYO ADEMUSIRE FOUNDATION for identifying with the inmates and priotizing their welfare .
Some of the items donated includes; rolls of Closeup, pack of toothbrush, Carton of mimie noddles, carton of So easy detergent, bathing soap, Tissue paper, dozens of slippers, drugs among others.
