Polling centre at Orita-obele unit 14, Ward 11, Owode/Imuagan in Akure south local government council area of Ondo state witnessed unprecedented large number of voters in the 2023 general elections.
Electorates troop out in large numbers as early as 7am to elect leaders of their choice.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and security personnel were on ground to perform their duties.
Accreditation and voting started simultaneously as directed by the electoral umpire.
As at the time of filing this report around 4pm, electorates were still sighted on the queue in large numbers waiting to cast their votes.
The polling centre situated opposite the state owned television station (OSRC ) is registered with 1825 voters.
Some who spoke to The Stewardship correspondent were worried and insisted that the INEC officials must allowed those of them on the queue to vote before counting.
At the last counting more than 240 voters were offered tally to afford them voting rights while the exercise last.
The intervention of security personnel on patrol to calm the already tensed and rowdy atmosphere proved abortive as the electorates continued to laments and sweating under the harsh weather.
However the exercise is hitch free while the people are determined to carry out their franchise.
