A clarion call has gone to the entire inhabitants of Uso to maintain perfect peace during and after the coming general elections.
The Oloba of Uso, Oba Engr. Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade, Olanipekun lll made the call during the monthly meeting he held with the Uso Advisory Council (UAC), in his palace at Uso.
He said that the charged political climate in the country would required everyone to be peaceful especially during the voting exercise coming up on Saturday the 25th of this month both within and outside the community.
The Kabiyesi urged all politicians and their leaders to keep to the creed of peace, even after the end of the voting noting that conflict of interest must be resolved amicably.
He also use the occasion to appeal to the security agents that would be deplored to Uso not to be partisan in their judgement in order to be seen as objective umpire.
” I also want to enjoin the law enforcement agents to remain apolitical during this period for the nation to achieve the basic tenet of democracy”
“The institution of democracy must be allowed to function maximally and devoid of excessive control and manipulations for the benefit of humanity”.
Oba Oyinbade prayed that this election would bring in a leader with the fear of God, and be responsive to the expectations of the people.
