Following the trend at which bank customers are frustrated and stranded owing to the scarcity of naira, numbers of banks in Ondo State have shut down operations over fear of attacks.
Source gathered revealed that Zenith Bank branches, Access, UBA, WEMA and Unity bank in Akure and other parts of the state have shut down abruptly.
According to eyewitness, at mid noon customers were told by Access Bank officials to vacate the bank premises as they have closed for the day.
It will be recalled that early in the day some youths barricade Benin- Ore- Lagos expressway to protest the naira and fuel scarcity.
