•••Benzolo lifts BOF Unity Cup Trophy
As year 2022 gradually winds down, people of Ondo South senatorial district were full of joy as hundreds benefited from the third edition of Bamidele Omosehin Foundation’s empowerment programme.
The annual event featuring a football competition saw Benzolo FC emerged winner of the Bamidele Omosehin Foundation (BOF) Unity Cup.
Senegaltech FC of Okitipupa was defeated by one goal to nil in an entertaining final football match at Okitipupa government field playing ground.
Highlights of the programme featured presentation of cash to indigent widows, donations of textbooks and educational materials to 22 Public schools across the local government, presentation of trophy, medals and awards, among others.
While speaking to newsmen Mr Bamidele Omosehin urged those whom God has blessed to remember the needy and less-privileged in the Society.

Expressing his gratitude on behalf of other principals Mr Taye Akinkoye of Manuwa Memorial grammar School thanked Bamidele Omosehin for the kind gesture while the empowered widows and other beneficiaries took turn to prayed for the donor.

James scored the only goal of the match immediately at the early minutes of second half.
However, Senegaltech’s Gboyese was given the marching order late on for an Unsportsmanship behaviour.
Soji of Benzolo FC emerged as the best Goalkeeper while Shaba FC of Irele was Adjudged to be the best behaved club.
The duo of Gambo Mohammed of KFC and Adeboye Yemi of Benzolo FC were crowned as the Highest goal scorer and Most valuable player respectively.
Dignitaries who graced the momentous event include, Abodi of Ikale land HRM Oba Faduyile,Oniju of lju-odo HRM Festus Olumoyegun, Majuwa of Morubodo land HRM Ernest Idepefo,Ondo state Commissioner for Science and technology Mr Femi Agagu represented by Elder Sunday Oyepitan and Barrister Tope Temokun, BOF Legal Adviser.
Others were Vice-chancellor of Olusegun Agagu university of Technology, Okitipupa Prof Temi Ologunorisa represented by Mr Moyirole Badarinde,Chief (Mrs) Gbemisola onasanya, Commissioner Ogun state independent electoral commission represented by Mrs Temitope Ajibolade(Principal Idepe HS Okitipupa),Mrs Oluronke olufunmi, HOLGA Ondo State local government service commission,Dr Funmi Fakuyi,Hon Niyi Adebusoye, Former MHA,Dr Edamisan Ikuemonisan among other.
No doubt that huge success has been recorded by BOF in the past few years however is not letting the guard down in their quest to ameliorate poverty and hardship in the lives of people of Ondo south comprising, Okitipupa, Irele, Ile-oluji/Okeigbo, Odigbo and Ilaje local government council area of Ondo state.
